School is hosting this year’s final regional
FAMAT competition. The competition will be held at Cypress
Bay High
School ,located 18600 Vista
Park Blvd, Weston, FL 33332 754-323-0350.
The postmark deadline for all registration forms is Saturday, February 26th
. This form is available in the
FAMAT Sponsor’s guide, accessible at www.famat.org or www.floridamao.org.
Registration Deadlines:
Regular registration (14+ days before a competition) is $7
per each individual test. Schools wishing to register late may do so with
written permission of the host 3-13 days before the competition at $15 per each
individual test. Schools that register on time but want to add up to 8
students may do so with the host’s written permission at $9 per individual
test. If you are crossing over, the on-time registration is $9 per
individual test, $17 per individual test for late registrations. Non-FAMAT schools must pay the $50 fee in
addition to any registration fees.
Sponsors must email their registration numbers in each division to lisa.herron@browardschools.com

Whether you notify the host school by mail, email, or phone, you will be
responsible for paying for each individual test that you register for, whether
or not the tests are taken at the competition.
The schedule for events will be as follows:
Round 1 9:30 –

Individual Tests: Algebra I, Pre-Calculus, Calculus
Teams: Geometry, Algebra II, Statistics
Round 2 11:15 – 12:45
Individual Tests: Geometry, Algebra II, Statistics
Teams: Algebra I, Pre-Calculus, Calculus

We will seat only ONE team per school per division. Those
students not participating on a team will have the opportunity to work our
Interschool test. We advised you to come prepare with your own guide
materials
Sponsors, you are encouraged to bring proof of registration and payment to
FAMAT with you to each competition. If you paid your dues after November
1st, you must bring your letter of receipt to each competition to
avoid paying the Non-Member fee of $50 at each competition.
You must also bring a highlighted enrollment form OR IF YOUR SCHOOL IS NOT
REGISTERED WITH FAMAT a blue enrollment
form with your school’s FAMAT ID# and your school name bubbled, as well as
enrollment forms for any students who have not been enrolled on line at www.floridamao.org.
You may register your students online up to midnight the day before the
competition. This will make it easier for you and those working in the
scoring room. Make
sure you print your complete list of enrolled students BEFORE you come and
highlight the names and appropriate numbers for each of your
participants. Please distinguish your team members from your non-team
members by highlighting the appropriate ID numbers. Remember, if
you have students who will be taking two individual tests, one of which must be
Statistics, you must pay for each test ($14 for those students).

Also, the SAT will be administered on our campus on the same day. PLEASE COME EARLY TO ENSURE A TIMELY START TO THE COMPETITION!!!
Lastly, the Cypress Bay MAO Booster club will be pre-ordering pizzas for your
lunch. A large cheese or pepperoni pizza will be sold for $10.
The booster club will be selling sodas on the day of the competition. Please include the number of pizzas that you
with to pre-order with your registration numbers. Pre-ordering is highly recommended as the
number of restaurants located near Cypress Bay High are very limited.
