Golden Gate High Regional (Region 5) [Region 5, 3]Saturday, February 12, 2022

This is a regional competition
American Heritage Palm Beach StatewideSaturday, February 26, 2022

American Heritage School Palm Beach is pleased to host the FAMAT February Statewide Invitational on Saturday, February 26, 2022

The deadline for online registration and mailing your payment is February 12, 2022.  Registration ends fourteen days prior to the competition and any student taking both the Statistics and another division individual test must pay for TWO tests.  There are no open tests.

The Registration Desk will open at 7:30 a.m.

We need proctors for both individual and team rounds.  Please volunteer by contacting Michael Grigelis at michael.grigelis@ahschool.com

IMPORTANT:  Due to limited space, we will allow only ONE team in each division per school.  Students not on a team or taking a second individual test may congregate in the courtyard area between the two main individual testing buildings but must be as quiet as possible so as to not disturb those who are testing in the nearby buildings.  Students may NOT congregate anywhere in the parking lots on the outsides of these buildings.  Those students not testing may also congregate outside of the dining hall at the picnic tables or in the field to the west of the dining hall.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation on this very important safety and security matter!

IMPORTANT - All Team Scoring:

We are field testing a new scoring format for this competition as we did at the January Statewide.  If this format is well received and runs smoothly, it will likely get adopted by the FAMAT board for all future events.

For the team scoring format, each part of the four part questions are worth 2 points each for an initial total of 8 points possible. If a school gets all four parts correct, the additional bonus point structure is 12-8-4-0.  This bonus will slide if a school does not answer all four parts correctly in the first minute (so 12-8-4 if the first team does it in the 2nd minute, 12-8 if it happens in the 3rd minute and 12 if it happens in the 4th minute).  Teams who only answer three or less parts correctly will only earn two points per correctly answered part.

As Always:  Please bring your highlighted enrollment list downloaded from www.floridamao.org with the participating competitors’ names and ID#s highlighted accordingly as to whether they are on a team or not.
